Case Study: Stockport Homes

In July 2017, we were delighted to hand over ‘Cornerstone’ to Stockport Homes Group. Having been involved in the project since its conception, it was fantastic to see the finished result.

Project Brief

We were invited to tender for the Stockport Homes project in June 2015 through Space Invader Design. We knew we would be up against very stiff competition from the other furniture dealerships who were also submitting a proposal. To that end, we used our in house experience and expertise to produce a very high quality, but value engineered alternative solution that we knew would appeal to the selection criteria of the client.

A shortlist of two dealerships then provided a ‘furniture showcase’ of the proposed solutions, of which we were pleased that the majority of solutions come from UK manufacturers. This was then followed by a formal interview process. We were delighted to learn of our successful appointment in January 2016.

For the rest of the year we worked directly with the client on fine tuning their selections, offering guidance and advice resulting in a final schedule for order in December 2016. We completed the installation July 2017 with the client taking occupancy later that month.

What Stockport Homes said…

We have worked with Heatons over a two year period, since they were awarded the contract to supply and fit out the furniture for our new head office. This has been a large project installing over 300 desks and chairs, several meeting rooms, conference rooms and event spaces, a customer reception, a coffee shop and several break out areas.

Throughout the duration of the project, I have had the pleasure of working with Heatons and would have no reservation in highly recommending them. They have provided excellent customer care with a dedicated point of contact. The products they have provided are to an exceptionally high standard and their expertise and advice has been invaluable. Heatons arranged visits to showrooms to discuss our requirements with the makers direct, enabling us to understand the possibilities available, resulting in us making the right decisions for our staff, customers and visitors.

Cornerstone is now a fantastic space that our staff and customers love. We know we will enjoy this space for many years to come.

Overall, I am delighted with the finished project and the relationship we have formed with Heaton’s and more importantly making the working environment for our staff much more enjoyable.
