We were delighted to work with Auger on designing their new purpose built offices based on the Wirral.
Real emphasis was placed on bringing some luxury into the work environment. The café area in particular is one of my favourites. Comfortable soft seating, Italian breakout dining chairs, solid wood poseur height tables with funky stools all add to the overall calming ambience. A great place to unwind with a coffee or during a lunch break. The cafe area also doubles up for informal meetings and discussions. The open plan office space benefits from acoustic quiet booths for those moments where deep concentration is required and there are a number of more formal meeting spaces. There is even a dedicated games room with a pool table, football table and darts.
We already had some ideas about what we wanted to create in terms of ambience and character inside the building and had put together mood boards and sample boards of examples of furniture and decor. However, it was Nicola who turned these ideas into reality with her determination to find the right pieces of furniture which would fit both our scheme and budget. Although our ideas and budget changed regularly, Heatons were able to keep us focussed and helped us to narrow down our choices until we were sure that everything was just as we wanted. It was obvious that Nicola knew her suppliers and their product ranges extremely well and was able to show us examples very quickly when we asked to see yet another type of poseur table or conference chair! We even visited Camira fabrics in Dewsbury in order to see what was available for all the soft seating including the banquette in the café area. They approached skilled tradesmen in order to get us prices for bespoke pieces of furniture when it became apparent that we could not buy certain items “off the shelf”, and we felt that she was as enthusiastic and passionate about completing the project to the high standard we hoped to achieve.
