North West Boss Named Hero 
Wirral based boss, David Fielding, has been named the best boss in the North West after his employees nominated him for BT Business’ My Boss The Hero competition.
BT Business ran the competition in May 2008 in a bid to find the North West’s best boss - a manager who would always help their staff out, support their needs and be someone employees wanted recognised. Heatons sell office supplies nationwide. David set up the company in 1986, and has built it up from scratch, taking on staff gradually and building it’s profile.
Telesales Manager, John Mulrooney, who nominated David, praised his encouragement of flexible working hours, and his treatment of staff. He said, “Dave is a very kind caring and thoughtful boss. He’s very flexible and adaptable with his employee's working hours and his door is always open if you have a problem. He is easy to talk to and having a family himself he can easily recognise the struggle of bringing up children, working and running a house. He also treated the company to an all expenses paid weekend to Barcelona in 2006 when the company was 20 years old!”
BT Business ran the competition to give employees the chance to reward a great boss. David has won himself £250 of experience day vouchers to celebrate and relax with, and is planning to put these to good use for a day away from the office! John has also won £500 for nominating David for BT Business’ My Boss The Hero award.
